I2C access from System-Console. How to?

Hello,

I have an Intel Stratix 10 GX Development Kit.

I am able to access the FPGA, SPI and DDR4 registers from the system console without issues.

However, I cannot manage to find a documentation showing how to access the I2C devices. Could someone point me to the right direction?

I have tried a lot of things along the lines of:

master_read_32 {/channels/local/m/master_3} {0x00000074} 100

and other master/addresses, but only read 0 at the following offsets in the Intel Documentation.

Any help appreciated.

  • I can't find much information on this as well.

Could you help to share your qsys system so I can further investigate and discuss this with the internal team?

  • I believe the way to access the I2C is the same way as how you usually access the other IP (with debug agents).

Claim the master service and access the memory ranges based on the IP base address.
