error: cannot add flash programmer object file to the top level.

hi, i am trying to program the QSPI flash. When am trying to download it using the JTAG through the programmer its giving the error saying cannot add flash programmer object file to the top level. ...

In your custom board, did you using 512Mb CFI flash?

The manual is based on MAX 10 Dev kit (have 512Mb QSPI flash). You need to select the correct QSPI based on your custom board.

"am working on a customized board then how to set those switches?"

The SW2 used to bypass JTAG and HSMC. You no need to worry is your board dont have this switch.

Can you sent your screenshot of the error (include the error ID code )?

    i am using the max10 10M25SAE144C8G series.

    in the qsys i have added only the QSPI . how can we perform the opration.

    Hi AKAYA,

    I dont think MAX 10 is supports configuration with external flash (e.g QSPI flash) as it is not stated in the user manual.

    Can you try to use the internal flash? Generate your pof using internal flash.

    You go to File --> Convert Programming Files --> Mode --> Internal Configuration.

    can you please check it once.

    with internal configuration we can not flash the external flash. I can work fine with the UFM memory. I need to extend it to the external flash (QSPI).

    will the external flash work for 10M50 series?
