Arria10 SoC Dev Kit Custom Compile

I'm new to soc FPGA's. I can compile the GSRD for Arria10 SoC Dev Kit following the rocketboards guide, but it uses GHRD. How can I compile my own project from stratch? I know the Quartus side project compile etc. but after that how can I create the sd file image using that quartus project?
