address width above 32 bits are not supported in nios 2

hi i am using arria 10 development kit. i need to use ddr4 as memory to store the nios application . but if i add external memory interface ip of ddr4 to nios i am getting error as address width abov...

Hi, The address span extender is the correct way to solve this issue, Please watch the following video to know how to use the address span extender correctly. The example uses a 4GB DDR4 with NIOS II. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmZIZ6VfPCU Regards.
