Altera Extends Agilex®, MAX® 10, and Cyclone® V Lifecycles Through 2045 for Long-Life Systems

Many Altera customers design systems that must remain deployed and supported for decades. Applications such as industrial automation, communications infrastructure, aerospace, medical equipment, and transportation systems require semiconductor platforms that provide predictable supply and long-term availability.

To support these long-lifecycle requirements, Altera is extending the availability of key programmable logic families including Agilex®, MAX® 10, and Cyclone® V devices through 2045. This commitment reinforces Altera’s role as a dependable FPGA partner for customers designing systems intended to operate reliably for decades.

Product Availability Extended Through 2045 *

With this update, several of Altera’s most widely deployed FPGA and programmable logic families will remain available for at least the next two decades:

• Agilex® Series FPGAs and SoCs — Available through 2045 **

• MAX® 10 FPGAs — Available through 2045

• Cyclone® V FPGAs and SoCs — Available through 2045

Together, these platforms support applications ranging from low-power edge control and cost-optimized embedded systems to high-performance acceleration and connectivity.

By extending availability through 2045, Altera enables customers to design new systems with confidence that their FPGA platform will remain available throughout long deployment lifecycles.

Why Long-Lifecycle Availability Matters

Many deployed systems remain in service for 10 to 20 years or more. Component discontinuation can force costly redesigns, recertification efforts, and supply disruptions.

By extending FPGA availability through 2045, Altera helps customers reduce redesign risk, simplify long-term maintenance planning, and maintain platform continuity across deployed systems.
