I just tried exactly this, found the listed stratix ii specific .qdz file, and quartus ii doesn't recognize it. I've tried renaming the file per suggestions on a different thread (adding _web to the file name, changing the xx.x.x.xxx version marker to match the edition of quartus ii I just installed) with no response. I've spent hours navigating the forum trying to figure out how to get an edition of quartus up that will let me open up an old design built around a stratix ii, without success. - download the web edition of quartus ii (13.1.0.162) - try the above to download the stratix ii specific .qdz file - attempt to run Tools -> Install Devices no valid .qdz files found - rename the downloaded file "stratix-13.0.1.232.qdz" to "stratix_web-13.1.0.162.qdz", attempt to install devices again no valid .qdz files found Any suggestions?6.6KViews0likes0CommentsHow to globally enable weak pull ups on unused IO through Quartus Prime Pro (22.3)
I'm trying to figure out an easy way to enable weak pull ups on the unused IO pins of a Cyclone 10 GX device. Apparently there was an easy single option to select in the past (when we were implementing on a Cyclone V) that could have all unused IO pins default to having weak pull ups enabled. I'm not able to find the same simple option in either Quartus Prime Pro (22.3) or Quartus Prime Standard (21.1). I can open the pin planner and add a column to show if IO pull ups are enabled and modify them pin by pin. I can open the .pin file and see each unused pin with the label "RESERVED_INPUT_WITH_WEAK_PULLUP", but I am failing to find a way through the Quartus GUI to do this globally on unused pins as a single selectable option. I have a current install of Quartus Prime Pro (22.3.0 Build 104 09/14/2022 SC Pro Edition) and am trying to open a project from a couple of years ago that used an older edition of Pro to create a project on a Cyclone 10 LP. When I attempt to open the project on 22.3 I'm get the error that the device isn't supported (Agilex, Arria 10, Cyclone 10 GX or Stratix 10 only). I try opening the project on Quartus Prime 21.1 SE and get the following error : "This project uses the Quartus Prime Pro Edition compilation directory structure. It can only be opened in the Quartus Prime Pro edition." I look here on support for anything like a Cyclone 10 LP device file for Quartus Prime Pro, and find nothing. Any suggestions for options that won't cost me days worth of work?2KViews0likes4Comments
