Why is it not possible to add the Altera® LDPC IP to designs targeting Cyclone® IV E FPGA devices?

Description

Due to a problem in the Altera® LDPC IP Core User Guide, it is incorrectly stated that the Cyclone® IV FPGA device family is supported.

The Altera® LDPC IP is not supported on Cyclone® IV E FPGA devices.

Resolution

The Altera® LDPC IP is part of a product obsolescence and support discontinuation schedule.
For the schedule, refer to the Product Discontinuation Notice PDN2208.
For new designs, Altera recommends that you use other IPs with equivalent functions. To see a list of available IPs, refer to the Altera® FPGA Intellectual Property webpage.
