Why doesn't the Quartus II Web Edition Programmer version 12.0 SP2 detect the USB-Blaster cable?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II Web Edition software version 12.0 SP2, the Programmer may not detect the USB-Blaster™ cable.

Resolution

To work around this problem, install the Quartus II Standalone Programmer software.

This issue is fixed beginning with the Quartus II Web Edition software version 12.1.
