Why does the read_rdid input of the ALTASMI_PARALLEL megafunction return an unexpected ID?

Description

The read_rdid input on the ALTASMI_PARALLEL megafunction may be used to read the memory capacity ID of supported EPCS and EPCQ devices.

In the Quartus® II software version 12.1 and earlier, the value returned for an EPCQ device is not correct.

Resolution

This problem is resolved in the Quartus II software version 12.1sp1.
