Why does the parameter editor not open for IP catalog in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 18.0 on Windows 10?

Description

When trying to create module from the IP Catalog, a screen flashes that says "IP Parameter Editor", then disappears with no additional windows opening. 

Resolution

To avoid this problem, make sure there are no spaces in the project path. Also, confirm that all the IP file and Platform Designer file paths stored in the Quartus Settings File
(.qsf)  are correct and without spaces.
