Why does the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager hang when using Xming?

Description

In the Quartus® II software, the MegaWizard™ Plug-In Manager may hang for certain megafunctions if using Xming. Altera does not support the Xming viewer.

Resolution

To avoid this problem, use a viewer such as VNC or NX with the Quartus II software.
