Why does the Intel® Quartus® Prime installer fail on some Linux platforms?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Installer for Pro and Standard Edition, you may see the installer hangs when installing on Arch, Fedora, Ubuntu Linux platforms.

Resolution

To work around the problem, deselect Quartus Help, ModelSim - Intel® FPGAEdition, DSP Builder, and Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL from the Intel Quartus Prime installation. Install this software individually.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future version of the Intel® Quartus® Prime software.
