Why does the Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL™ compiler version 18.1.1 not generate a cache directory when using the $AOCL_TMP_DIR environment variable ?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL version 18.1.1,  the cache directory is not created when running an OpenCL™ compilation.

Resolution

This problem is fixed beginning with Intel®Quartus Prime Pro Edition software version 19.1.
