Why does the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software GUI not show any error message when the design failed compilation at the Analysis & Synthesis stage?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.1 and earlier, you may not see any error message shown in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software GUI when the design failed compilation at the Analysis & Synthesis stage. This is caused by the system's inability to catch up with many warning messages. Thus, the error message was not shown when the design failed compilation at the Analysis & Synthesis stage. 

Resolution

To work around this problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.1 and earlier,  use one of the following steps:

• Compile the design using the Intel® Quartus® Prime command-line executable.
• In the Intel® Quartus® Prime GUI, turn off the Automatic Parallel Synthesis in the Advanced Setting (Synthesis) and recompile the design.
