Why does system console simulation consume 100% of CPU resources while running?

Description

When running ModelSim® functional simulations in combination with the Altera® System Console, the user may observe 100% CPU usage from the Java process that spawns the System Console window.

Resolution

This issue will be fixed in a future version of the Quartus II design software.
