Why does Qsys fail to generate a .bsf?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software versions 12.1 and earlier, Qsys may fail to generate a Block Symbol File (.bsf) even if the option to create a .bsf is turned on. This problem can occur when you have spaces in your path.

Resolution

To work around this problem, ensure that your path does not include spaces.
