Why does OpenCL™ simulation fail with customized Board Support Package?

Description

Due to a limitation in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro edition software version 18.1.1, OpenCL™ simulation with customized Board Support Package (BSP) will not succeed.

Resolution

This problem is fixed beginning with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro edition software version 19.1.

However, the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro edition software version 19.3 is recommended because it includes additional improvements to OpenCL™ simulation.
