Why does my Quartus II software installation fail when using McAfee antivirus software?
Description
Due to a conflict between the Quartus® II software version 13.0 and 13.0 SP1 and the McAfee antivirus software, you may see failures during Quartus II installation. These failures may reference a failure to install the 32-bit version of qmegawiz.exe. The McAfee antivirus software incorrectly treats this executable as Trojan virus.
Resolution
To work around this problem, add qmegawiz.exe to the McAfee antivirus software\'s exclusion list, and reinstall the Quartus II software.
This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
