Why does Design Space Explorer II omit some clock domains in my design?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 15.0 Update 1 and earlier, you may see clocks are missing from the list of clock domains in the Reports section in the Design Space Explorer II. This occurs when clock names contain special characters such as [ ] | as in generated_inst[3]|clk.

These clocks are correctly analyzed and are just missing from the list of clock domains in the DSE II report.

Resolution

To fix this problem, download and install Patch 1.02 for the Quartus II software version 15.0 Update 1 from the appropriate link below.

• Download the version 15.0 Update 1 patch 1.02 for Linux (.run)
• Download the Readme for the Quartus II software version 15.0 Update 1 patch 1.02 (.txt)

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
