Why do I get a blue screen crash when using the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software Programmer?

Description

You may get this crash while using the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software of a later Windows release than Windows 7 and when you are configuring your FPGA with the Intel Quartus Prime Software Programmer.

Resolution

To work around this problem, use an older version of the driver delivered with the Quartus® II Programmer 13.0, 13.1, or 14.0.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software.
