Why do a get an "OpenGL not available" error message while executing the Intel® Quartus® Prime software version 18.0 on a VNC client?

Description

Due to a dependency with OpenGL support libraries, the Intel® Quartus® Prime software version18.0 may fail to execute on VNC clients without OpenGL support. The Intel® Quartus® Prime software will display the message "OpenGL not available" in a console.

Resolution

To work around this problem, change to a VNC client with OpenGL support.

The dependancy on the OpenGL libraries has been removed beginning the Intel® Quartus® Prime software version 18.1
