Why Can't the Agilex™ 5 or Agilex™ 7 FPGA Programming File Be Generated in the Quartus® Prime Software?

When you tried compiling a project for the Agilex™ 5 or Agilex™ 7 device, which you're preparing to ship, Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software didn’t generate a .sof file as expected. Instead, a warning appeared: "Warning (18636): Specifications for device A5EC065BB32AE4S are subject to change. Contact Intel for information on availability. No programming file will be generated."

Resolution

You are getting this warning because the timing models for this device are not yet final. Hence SOF generation also is not enabled yet. If you use the newer version of Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software, it may solve this issue.
