Why are AHDL block comments not color-coded in the Quartus II Text Editor?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software versions 11.0 SP1 and earlier, AHDL block comments using the % character are not color-coded in the Quartus II Text Editor. Although the comments are not color-coded correctly, they are interpreted as comments by the Quartus II Integrated Synthesis.

Resolution

To work around this comment display issue, use AHDL line comments using -- symbol instead of block comments.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 11.1.
