Why am I not able to find DDR3 as memory region in Nios II BSP editor after design migration?

Description

When migrating the design from Quartus II 14.1 and below to Quartus prime 17.0, DDR3 is no more recognized as memory region in Nios II BSP editor linker regions.

Resolution

After migrating the design, remove the DDR3 IP from Qsys design, and add it again. After generating Qsys files, the DDR3 can be recognized as memory region in Nios II EDS BSP editor.

This issue will be fixed in a future Quartus Prime release
