What does suffix “E” of the Altera device part number stand for?

Description

The “E” suffix in Altera® devices is the same as “ES” for engineering sample. "S" was dropped because the part number is too long and due to a character limitation in the Altera device part numbers.

 

An example is the “EP4SGX230FF35C3NE” part number. This is the same as the “EP4SGX230FF35C3NES” part number.
