System Error: MSVCR120.dll was not found (Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software)

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 22.1 and earlier, you might see this system error when launching the Questa* FPGA Edition. This error is caused by the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 not being installed when installing the Questa* FPGA Edition Software.

This problem only affects the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software when installed on Windows* OS.

Resolution

To work around this problem, download and install the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013.
