SOPC Builder generation failure errors: "mm_master_bfm_0: Generated HDL with parameters is not supported in the classic flow" and "mm_slave_bfm_0: Generated HDL with parameters is not supported in the classic flow"

Description

In the Quartus® II software release version 13.0, SOPC Builder designs with verification IP master and slave bus functional models (BFMs) fail during system generation. The generation error messages are:

• Error: mm_master_bfm_0: Generated HDL with parameters is not supported in the classic flow
• Error: mm_slave_bfm_0: Generated HDL with parameters is not supported in the classic flow

Resolution

If using the Quartus II software release version 13.0, migrate your SOPC Builder design to the Qsys system integration tool.

SOPC Builder is not included with the Quartus II software release version 13.1 and later.
