RapidIO II IP core unable to link up consistently in x4 or x2 lanes configuration

Description

When RapidIO II IP core is configured as x4 or x2, it intermittently fails to link up to the max lanes which results in a fallback to x1 mode. This happens due to alignment state machine is unable to successfully deskew the lanes. This is an intermittent issue.

This impacts all device families.

Resolution

Reset the RapidIO II IP core to restart port initialization.You can request a patch for Quartus Prime software version older than 16.1.
