Possible Error When Simulating EMIF Designs in VHDL Using ModelSIM AE

Description

This problem affects DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR2, QDR II, RLDRAM II and RLDRAM 3 products.

If you are running the Quartus II software version 13.1 Arria 10 Edition or 13.1 Arria 10 Edition Update 1, and using ModelSIM AE to simulate EMIF designs in VHDL, you may receive the following error message:

ALTERA version supports only a single HDL

Resolution

The workaround for this issue is to install the Quartus II software version 13.1 Arria 10 Edition, Update 2.

This issue will be fixed in a future version.
