Mentor Graphics AXI Verification IP AE in the Quartus II 13.1 release does not support QuestaSim 10.2b for windows

Description

Mentor Graphics® AXI3™/AXI4™ Verification IP Suite Altera® Edition that is released with Quartus® II 13.1 will not work with QuestaSim® 10.2b for windows.

Resolution

To work around this problem, download and install patch 1.02 from the links below. You must install the Quartus II software version 13.1 before installing this patch.

• Download the version 13.1 patch 0.03 for Windows (.exe)
• Download the Readme for the Quartus II software version 13.1 patch 0.03 (.txt)

Note once you install this patch, the -mvchome path changes depending on the the Modelsim/QuestaSim version.

For Questa/Modelsim on Linux, or Questa/Modelsim 10.2 on windows use:
vsim -mvchome /../ip/altera/mentor_vip_ae/common -c -do example.do

For Questa/Modelsim 10.1 and Modelsim 10.1 Altera Edition on windows use:
vsim -mvchome /../ip/altera/mentor_vip_ae/common_windows_10_1 -c -do example.do
