java.lang.RuntimeException: Can't initialize DevFamilyManagerFromDB: connectivity to DB problem

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro edition software version 16.0 and later, you may see this error when loading the Qsys Pro system Integration Tool. This error may occur if there was a significant access time delay in loading the device database from Quartus installation directory.

Resolution

To work around this problem, for Quartus Prime Pro edition software version 16.1 Update 2, download and install patch 2.01 from the links below. You must install the Quartus Prime software version 16.1 Update 2 before installing this patch.

• Download the version 16.1.2 patch 2.01 for Windows (.exe)
• Download the version 16.1.2 patch 2.01 for Linux (.run)
• Download the Readme for the Quartus Prime Pro software version 16.1.2 patch 2.01 (.txt)

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus Prime Pro edition software.
