Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 12.0 SP2, you may see this error during fitting if your design includes a Hard Memory Controller and it targets an Arria® V device.

Resolution

To work around this problem, download and install patch 2.18 from the links below. You must install the Quartus II software version 12.0 SP2 before installing this patch.

• Download the Readme for the Quartus II software version 12.0 SP2 patch 2.18 (.txt)

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 12.1.
