Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro edition software version 20.1 and earlier, you may see the Internal Error mention above when you full compile the design. This internal error is triggered on the fitter place stage.

Resolution

 A patch is available to fix this problem for the Intel® Quartus® Prime Edition Pro software version 20.1.  Download and install Patch 0.31 from the appropriate link below. 

• Download patch quartus-20.1-0.31-windows for Windows (.exe)
• Download patch quartus-20.1-0.31-linux for Linux (.run)
• Download the Readme for patch quartus-20.1-0.31-readme (.txt)

This problem is fixed starting with the Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition software version 20.3.
