How can I install Nios II Embedded Design Suite Legacy Tools?

Description

The Quartus II software version 12.1 includes the Nios II EDS when installing the Quartus II Subscription or Web Edition software. No additional download is required. However, some legacy files are not included with the installation. These files are listed here:

• env.sh
• nios2_command_shell_gcc3.sh
• nios2_sdk_shell_bashrc
• kit_sh
• kit_bash
• sdk_shell

If you require these files, download the Nios II Embedded Design Suite Legacy Tools from the following links:

• 12.1_177_legacy_nios2_windows.exe (Windows)
• 12.1_177_legacy_nios2_linux.tar.gz (Linux)

Note that these files are only available from http://software.altera.com. They are not available from the Altera Download Center.
