Flexlm software error: version of vendor daemon is too old

Description

In the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 18.1 Update 2, you may see this error when using a floating license. This error occurs because the FlexLM library has been upgraded to v11.16.1.0.

Resolution

To fix this error, upgrade the license daemon software on your license server to the newer version.

The new daemon software (alterad) is included in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 18.1 Update 2.
