etherStatsOversizePkts Statistic Counter Increases when MAC Function Receives VLAN or Stacked VLAN Tagged Frame

Description

This errata affects the Triple-Speed Ethernet MegaCore function.

The etherStatsOversizePkts statistics counter is incremented when the MAC function receives a VLAN or stacked VLAN tagged frame.

For example, when the frm_length register that defines the maximum frame length is set to 1518 and the payload length is 1500 bytes, the etherStatsOversizePkts statistics counter will be incremented if the MAC function receives a VLAN or stacked VLAN tagged MAC frame.

This issue affects variants of MAC function with statistic counters.

Resolution

This issue has no workaround.This issue is fixed in version 12.0 of the Triple-Speed Ethernet MegaCore function.
