Error running /dsp_builder/setupMATLABClassPath.bat Install “Matlab_installation_directory” “/dsp_builder”: child killed: segmentation violation

Description

You may encounter above error message when installing the DSP Builder software version 15.0 with MATLAB 2015a. This problem is caused by DSP Builder not creating the require MATLAB shortcut correctly.

Resolution

To work around this issue, manually create a shortcut and then right click, select Properties and update the "target" and "start in" as shown below:
Target:
\dspba\dsp_builder.bat -m " Matlab_installation_directory /bin/matlab.exe"
Start in:
\dsp_builder
