Error: [Qsys] Component not found or could not be instantiated

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 18.1 and 19.1, you may see this error when using the Quartus® Prime default IP generation flow.

Resolution

To work around this problem, uncheck the Use multiple processors for faster IP generation dialog box in the Generate HDL step of Platform Designer.
