Error: Port “\xxx” does not exist in the “xxx” but exists in parent entity “root_partition” from Partition Database File (.qdb)

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.1 and earlier, you might see this error message when using the Root Partition Reuse flow at the Analysis & Synthesis stage.

This problem occurs when compiling the Consumer Project, and there is an IO partition port declaration with the character “\” in the Developer Project.

 

 

Resolution

This problem is fixed beginning with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.2.
