Error changing permissions to 01755

Description

Due to a problem in the installer for Quartus® II software version 13.0, you may see this error during installation on Linux. This error occurs when changing  message file permission to 01755, which includes the "sticky" bit.

This problem does not affect installing software before version 13.0.

Resolution

To work around this problem, download the new Quartus II installer from the links below.

Download this file into the same directory as all other necessary components, including device libraries, from the Altera Download Center. Launch the Quartus II installer.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 13.0 SP1.
