Description

You may encounter the following Fitter errors if you are compiling a design with the 4 channels of a XAUI PHY placed across two Arria® V device transceiver banks in Quartus® II 13.0.

Error (178018): Channels in the bonded channel groups containing the following must be placed in contiguous locations. If CMU PLLs are used, gaps must be left for the transmit PLL channel.

Resolution

This problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 13.1.
