Error (12077): Node instance "altera_mult_add_rtl2" instantiated with unknown parameter "<name>"

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 17.1 Update 1 and earlier, while using altmult_complex IP in VHDL you may see the following error messages in message window when you run Analysis & Synthesis.

Error (12077): Node instance "altera_mult_add_rtl2" instantiated with unknown parameter "ACCUM_SLOAD_PIPELINE_SCLR"

Error (12077): Node instance "altera_mult_add_rtl2" instantiated with unknown parameter "ADDNSUB_MULTIPLIER_PIPELINE_SCLR1"

Error (12077): Node instance "altera_mult_add_rtl2" instantiated with unknown parameter "ADDNSUB_MULTIPLIER_PIPELINE_SCLR3"

Error (12077): Node instance "altera_mult_add_rtl2" instantiated with unknown parameter "SIGNED_PIPELINE_SCLR_A"

Error (12077): Node instance "altera_mult_add_rtl2" instantiated with unknown parameter "SIGNED_PIPELINE_SCLR_B"

Resolution

To work around this problem, remove these ports from the <IP_Name>.vhd file.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Intel Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software.
