Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 12.0 SP2 and earlier, you may see these warnings during synthesis if your design contains dual-port memories.

Warning (272007): MGL_INTERNAL_WARNING: ( The parameter value is not one of the pre-specified values in the value list.) altdpram|READ_DURING_WRITE_MODE_MIXED_PORTS The value assigned is CONSTRAINED_DONT_CARE and the valid value list is DONT_CARE|OLD_DATA|NEW_DATA

The following warning may also be generated for these memories:

Warning (287001): Assertion warning: MGL_INTERNAL_WARNING: ( The parameter value is not one of the pre-specified values in the value list.) altdpram|READ_DURING_WRITE_MODE_MIXED_PORTS The value assigned is CONSTRAINED_DONT_CARE and the valid value list is DONT_CARE|OLD_DATA|NEW_DATA
Resolution

These warnings can be safely ignored.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 12.1.
