Description

If you use the sum port of the LPM_MULT function, the result will be: (dataa*datab) sum.

The multiplication will be implemented in the DSP block, but the addition will be implemented using logic cells. The adder unit in the DSP block can only be fed by the multiplier units within the DSP block, and not external logic.
