project_new -family Agilex detected as Cyclone 10 GX

    Alternatively you can use global assignment to set the device family in tcl script


    set_global_assignment -name family AGILEX

Not at all, I don't even know from where Quartus takes the Cyclone 10 GX...

As anybody can see, there is no mention of Cyclone in the command, only agilex.

What's wrong with my command?

    Understood, but as a test, can you successfully create a new project with Agilex using the New Project Wizard instead of a command?

      Yes, no problem from the wizard.
      You can easily reproduce it by opening quartus and running my single line command.
