to understand the codec, you may read in the users manual "Using the 24-bit Audio CODEC". You also need the basics of the i2c /iic (http://www.i2c-bus.org) bus to understand how it works. there are many topics (http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=116139#)to this matter in this forum, too. hf
