Using AES with Remote Configuration

I have a system with a SIV device, Max II and CFI flash which configures using the PFL mega function. I have a nios in my design and can remotly update the cfi flash configurations successfully via ethernet (TSE) using .flash files created by sof2flash function.

I would like to use AES to encrypt the configuration data but I am at loss how to create the .flash file with encryption. Does anybody have any pointers? Any hints would be appreciated. Thanks.

i think you need a special license to enable encryption of programming files

    i don't know that sof2flash supports encryption

I have the license for encryption and used encrypted .pof files before. The problem is I don't know how to upload the .pof file via a NIOS ethernet linke, but I can using the .flash format
