Using 8051 to upload bitmap to SPI flash

Guys,

As title, what kind of file format should I choose for this purpose? I tried rbf, rpd, ... but it seems not right!

    *.rpd is basically correct. Did you notice the Altera SRUNNER project? It contains example code for programming EPCS serial flash with a microcontroller.
