use scrambler not 8b10b

I want to use altgx at 3G . most serdes I used before using 8b10b before parallel-serial trans,but there is 20% payload wasted.so I want to use scrambler like 3G sdi .the there is no 8b10b in 3G sdi ...

May i know what is the advantage of this "Komma" character especially the k28.5?

Is it the "Komma" character has longest continuous "1" among 256 of the 8b10b valid code group? :confused:
