I want to use the input clock of Cyclone 3 from a ARM's output clock,does it can? It can reduce a oscillator. Does anybody use the source clock as this way?
Honored ContributorAny clock signal that follows one of the Cyclone III's I/O standards can be used as a clock source, you don't absolutely need an oscillator.

If you plan to use a pll with that clock signal, be sure to connect it to one of the dedicated clock inputs and that it's frequency is within the acceptable range of the pll.Honored ContributorThank you very much.
